Carola Lovering does a fantastic job of drawing you in to this push-and-pull, this obsession of sorts between the two characters. Not only was it cool to see Lee's vision of a world recovering from an apocalyptic event, but it was also an opportunity to learn history through fictional spaces and geography.
Patch gets away with making out with Nora, sexually harassing her in the first book, and even getting hit on by Marcie. It takes some serious self discipline and dedication. What I appreciate the most is how even though it's a series, each book is a stand-alone with new main characters who tell us their story, and if you have read the others, you get a kick out of the familiar faces that return for secondary roles.
